I’ve been browsing the forums for nearly a year now, and everytime I either look at someone’s skill tree or if someone asks for advice on which skills to max/leave at level 1, I always see the same thing. Leave Bull’s Cry at Lv1. But why? From my experience (along with another Bagi I know), bull’s cry is a very nice and useful skill. Not only is it a quick KB’ing skill, it also adds a temporary buff, increasing your attack speed and your attack. Now, recently (apparently), we have established that more attack =’s more Critical rate.

Now, knowing that Bull’s cry increases your attack for a short amount of time, we also know (out of common sense) that it increases your critical rate.
Yeah, I know “bull’s cry only lasts for xx amount of seconds”. Think about it this way: bull’s cry effect should only be used for PvP; PvE only if you have time to wait for it to cool down and use it over and over. But, at higher levels, we know that PvP’s only last (at max) 30 odd seconds. Maxed, Bull’s cry lasts around 32 seconds. Wouldn’t this be nice to have the added critical rate during PvP?
All along my Bull’s cry had been Lv1 because of the brainwashing I got douced with on this forum at an early level, until today. Today I thought about it and decided to give it a shot. I put as many points into bull’s cry as possible and the tested it. Results were this:

Normal Triple ravage = 1 crit on average
Bull’s Cry-enhanced Triple ravage = 2-3 hits on average (not to mention 3x ravage is one of our hardest-damaging skills and to have it crit on all 3 hits is a dream come true)

Normal Spirit shout = 2 crits on average (if I’m lucky)
Bull’s Cry-enhanced Spirit shout = 3 crits on average

Normal Mad Bloods = 2 crits on average
Bull’s Cry-enhanced Mad Bloods = 3-4 crits on average

Normal Outrage = 2 crits (if I’m lucky)
Bull’s Cry-enhanced Outrage = 3-4 crits on average

Normal Carnage = 1 crit on average
Bull’s Cry-enhanced Carnage = 2 crits

I haven’t calculated anything, so I don’t have any solid evidence to say what the crit rate is with a maxed bull’s cry, or such. So, you’ll have to figure it out for yourself and decide if you could deal with these odds.
