Credits to x_revenge SUMMARY: ... Graphics: I started with the graphics because I thought I should state the difference between the game's interface and a classical RPG's interface. The reason is that there is a special function called Energy, which is a gauge that when depletes, you cannot do any action. You recover some every turn though so it's not really THAT big a problem (it all depends on your strategy). Weapons also have a cool down meter and there are no recovery methods during a battle (after all, machines can't drink potions...). The most noteworthy problem however is that the game is a little slow, probably because I don't have a fast connection so it WILL lag if you don't have a high connection (1MBit and up suggested). The easiest, and probably only, thing you can do is to lower the graphics and then it will all go smoothly.      Gameplay: This is a regular go around and explore RPG. I explained about the Energy bar and the lack of healing items (after all the whole game is still in testing so cut it some slack) so now I will refer to the difficulty, which is high actually, if ...

Ikariam Review

Credits to Ebey Soman Ikariam is a online browser game featuring a world with thousands of other real players. One begins the game with a single town on an Island and must make buildings, troops and alliances to advance in the game. Ikariam began as a small game offered by a German company(Gameforge Productions GmbH) and has now spread around the world with over 12 different international servers. Ikariam enjoys a growing audience and is great for a complicated online multiplayer real-time empire building game. Of course, the game can be played for free and is much much better than Travian online. In the game, you spawn with a small level 1 city on an Island. The neat feature of this game is that every player starts on an Island with specific resources. The resources in the game are Building Material, Wine, Marble, Crystal Glass and Sulfur. Each island has 1 building material and 1 random resource (such as wine or marble or crystal or sulfur). As your city grows and you build and expand your buildings, you can assign workers to exploit those resources for the glory of your empire. When big enough, you can move onto other Islands ...

Credits to Andaleon After more than 7 years, Jagex still gets things right. One of the highly-populated, highly-immersive MMORPG games to date, Runescape, still never ceases to amaze even after so many years. The game is expansive, stimulating, and addicting. It's seriously one of the best games I have ever played. Forsooth, brilliance is thine! Runescape does what every amazing game should do: iron out bugs and glitches, smoothen the gameplay and graphics, while continually offering new content to improve the already incredible game. And to think this masterpiece is actually browser-based. For players of Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights, Runescape would feel very familiar – point-and-click gameplay, the default isometric view, numerous different locales, and dozens of hours of gameplay. Then, you'll reconsider the thought... Runescape isn't as similar as these games! Runescape is an entirely different gaming universe! Within the first few minutes (or hours), you'll find that this game stands tall on it own as a fun MMO with an amazing story and unique gameplay. Runescape partly has the looks of a typical MMORPG. Aside from the usual MMO standards like item and party system, the story also starts out as your usual "makings-of-a-hero" fate. You set off ...

Dark Orbit Review

Dark Orbit is a free, browser-based game that’s very addictive and easy to pick up. The game, which takes place in space, has your usual RPG elements like PvP, PvE and crafting, which is actually impressive considering the game is browser based. Dark Orbit is published by the popular portal Bigpoint which also publishes Seafight, Gladius 2, The Pimps, XBlaster, Space Invasion and several other browser MMORPGs. Start off by selecting one of three factions - The Mars Mining Operation, Earth Union or Venus Protection Corporation. The three factions are constantly at war. Although the game allows you to attack members of your own faction in open PvP to pillage their cargo, it’s encouraged to work with your allies to battle the other two factions. The game looks a lot like Star Port Galactic Empires, but unlike Starport, Dark Orbit actually has a community. You start game play in your faction’s space station with a good chunk of change. The first thing I recommend is using some of your money to purchase a new ship, as the starting one is terrible. After purchasing your new ship, you should spend the rest of your money on ammunition and extra armor. With your new ...

Credits to Nathanacus You start wth a village, train troops, get resources, etc. Much the same as any other browser game of its kind, though with several major differneces. I personnally enjoy playing TW, but I do think that other browser games, such as Travian and Ikariam, are better developed. In Tribal Wars, you start with an overly-developed village, which for me, makes the game less enjoyable. For gamers that enjoy building their empire from the ground up, this is probably not for you. Another thing I've found is that I don't feel an urge t play veryday, since I just don't find it as captivating as Travian or Ikariam. Another thing that I find less than enjoyable about the game is the sheer size of armies and empires. Because you start with a really high production rate and several important buildings, it is way too easy to get a huge army and many villages. And because of this factor, the game is almost impossible to play if you don't start right at the beginning. I also don't like that the only way to get another village is through conquering and such, as it leads to players being wiped out constantly. Also, ...

Credits to Zakia , Mafia. Remember those stab in the dark games you played as a kid, where one person was selected as the murderer (unbeknown to the others) and had to kill(..no not for real) everyone without letting them figure out who is the killer. Well, now you can play online with people you don’t even know! Epicmafia is completely nonprofit and easy to sign up. Even simpler is the concept: To get rid of the Mafia members through Lynches. A few roles are added in, and there are several setups and variations that will keep you from playing the same game often, a incredibly welcome aspect. Within Epicmafia is a point system. You gain a set number of points for winning a game as each role, and lose them for leaving (AKA Suicide) or being inactive. There are a few privileges you have to earn, but these do not take long to earn. Gaining score lets you impact the community, whether it be ranking games or giving -Negative Karma to a suicider. There is a heart system, 1 heart is required to enter a ranked game and you gain 10 hearts every day. With every community comes its letdowns, and Epicmafia sadly ...
