Tycoon Online, the leading browser-based business simulation game, will launch a USA-themed server on March 22, announced Capitalist Enterprises, Inc., the game company which publishes Tycoon Online. The new USA server will feature the same gameplay as the original Tycoon Online, but will have a USA-based map and USA-based names for in-game characters. The new USA version will also be the first server to implement Tycoon Online's new teams feature. The teams feature, similar to alliances or guilds found in many RPGs, allows players to share strategies and socialize with friends in-game. We decided to launch a USA version of Tycoon Online because of the unprecedented growth of our audience, said Doug Granzow, CEO of Capitalist Enterprises, Inc. The new server will not only make room for a great number of players, but also allows them to further customize their gameplay experience. Tycoon Online-USA is the second version of game available to English-speaking players. Local versions of the game are also available to players in Portugal, Belgium, The Netherlands, and Turkey. Hey everyone, You've probably all noticed that we've been quiet on the update front recently, and for a good reason! The next update to the game will be version 1.20, and it's going to have the most new features of any update yet. The biggest new feature however, will be forts. Where will forts be? There will be 3 forts in each county (section) of the map, one small, one medium and one large. A fort can be controlled by any town, and a town may own multiple forts. What benefits will they bring? Like towns, forts will have certain buildings that can be built and upgraded. Examples of these buildings are a barracks, watchtowers and a weapon smith. Each bring unique benefits to whichever town owns the fort. However, the value, importance and the fact there are only 3 forts per county will mean that other towns will be keen to take the fort of your hands. Fight sequence A leader of a town can decide to attack a fort. Once the battle command has been issued, all players from the attacking town and the defending fort have 24 hours to get into position before the battle commences if they wish to participate. The second LoD Game World / Server will open on Sunday 8 March, at 19:00 server time (GMT+1). After the great success of LoD server 1 which started approximately 2-3 months ago, it is time to open another server. This new server will have the same settings as server 1 and will start during ingame summer time, which might just be enough time to start your first outpost before the first ingame winter.
