Credit to semirans Within each quest are any known bugs or difficulties that I encountered while trying to do the quests. Also, I did the quests as Karus Rogue so some rewards may be specific to that class or race. I have tried to include the variants when I knew them and will hopefully be able to update them as new info is added and bugs are fixed. They are presented at the levels and in the order they were offered to me, your results may vary, but should be close. After completing the "What you do" portion of the quest, you return the original NPC to do the "What you get" part. This instruction sounds basic, but some of the qusts are a bit confusing.
Known Issues and Current Undocumented features (bugs)
1. [BLACKSMITH] Heppa quests were frequently listed out of order making it unclear how to proceed. I have them listed in the order they should be done. 2. Mercenary Captain Cougar (Kugar) is currently disabled. Messages pop up all the time telling you to go talk to him for things like information about Moradon, or training assessments. Don't waste time looking for him until they reenable him. 3. Many quests require you to kill an animal, but killing them in Moradon doesn't do it. You have to travel to Karus or El Morad, depending upon your race. When this is the case, it is noted in the individual quest notes below. This causes you not to be able to complete some quests given as early as level 27 until you reach level 35. 4. Some quests don't pop up and count your kills. They do tell you when you complete them. 5. I know there is a Kecoon Armor quest for Warriors only. As far as I can tell no other class get that quest, so you can trash those Kecoon Armors. 6. Currently the "Glyptondont Hunt" and the "Werewolf Elimination" are glitched. I have killed tons Glyptodont in both Karus and Moradon and the quest never completes. The werewolf is a bit more hard to tell as people are always farming them in Moradon and I can't locate any in Karus to see if they allow you to complete it.
Quests for Levels 1-10
Level 1 Moradon N/A Rescuing Sid What you do: Kill 1-2 Worm What you get: Servant (Seed) Notes: Seed is the quest helper that pops up for the rest of the game telling you whe a new quest is available. He doesn't always get the names of the NPC correct and frequently pops up just as you are trying to kill something. You can disable the helps in the quest options. Level 2 Moradon Sentinel Patrick Worm Hunt What you do: Kill 5 Worm What you get: 50 xp Notes: No counter pops up after each kill. There is an announcement that the quest is completed once you kill 5 worms. Level 3 Moradon [Grand Merchant's Daughter] Menissiah Spools of Silk What you do: Gather 5 Silk Spools What you get: 50 xp Notes: Level 3 Moradon Sentinel Patrick Bandicoot Hunt What you do: Kill 5 Bandicoot What you get: 100 xp Notes: Level 4 Moradon [Grand Merchant's Daughter] Menissiah Bandicoot Fang What you do: Gather 3 Bandicoot Teeth What you get: 10 Water of Life and 10 Potions of Intelligence Notes: Level 6 Moradon Sentinel Patrick Kecoon Hunt What you do: Kill 10 Kecoon What you get: 50,000 Noah Notes: Level 6 Moradon [Grand Merchant's Daughter] Menissiah Making Antifebriles Peletts What you do: Gather 5 Kecoon Bladders What you get: 3 Bezoar Notes: I suspect that this quest is to make pellets, not peletts. Level 7 Moradon Sentinel Patrick Bulcan Hunt What you do: Kill 10 Bulcan What you get: 500 xp Notes: Level 9 Moradon [Blacksmith]Heppa Iron Bar What you do: Gather 5 Iron Bar What you get: [Rogue:] Dagger +5 or Bow +5 [Mage] Wood Staff +1 [Fighter] Unknown [Cleric] Unknown Notes: This is the first part of a 5 part quest. Heppa's quest list is not in the order that you do them. It is repeatable if you seect the "I lost the weapon" option prior to completing all the steps. The weapon will have a note at the bottom saying it is a special quest item. Level 9 Moradon [Blacksmith]Heppa Item Upgrade What you do: Gather 5 Kecoon Bladders What you get: Upgrade Scroll (low class) Notes: Level 9 Moradon [Blacksmith]Heppa Weapon Enhancement Upgrade What you do: Upgrade the weapon from "Item Upgrade" quest at the anvil and get "Magical Enhancment Rock" from [Grand Merchant's Daughter] Menissiah What you get: Upgrades quest weapon by +1 Notes: Level 9 Moradon [Blacksmith]Heppa Making an Elemental Scroll (low class) What you do: Gather 5 Iron Bar and 3000 Noah What you get: Elemental Scroll (low class) Notes: Level 9 Moradon [Blacksmith]Heppa Increased Weapon Attack What you do: Upgrade the weapon from "Weapon Enhancement Upgrade" quest at the anvil and get "Magical Enhancment Rock" from [Grand Merchant's Daughter] Menissiah What you get: Adds elemental damage to quest weapon. Notes: Level 9 Moradon Sentinel Patrick Wild Bulcan Hunt What you do: Kill 10 Wild Bulcan What you get: 800 xp and 2000 Noah Notes: Sometimes seen as Wold Bulcan Level 10 Moradon [Grand Merchant] Kaishan 1st Job Change What you do: Talk to the NPC and pay 3000 Noah What you get: Able to use advanced skills and you start getting skill points. Notes: He is located at the top of the second set of stairs above the Magic Anvil. This is also the NPC that allows you to redistribute your stats. Level 10 Moradon [Familiar Tamer] Kate Pet What you do: Kill 10 Bandicoot, 10 Worm, 10 Kecoon, and 10 Bulcan What you get: 1 Kaul's egg and 5 Familiar Summons Notes: Anyone can do this quest once reaching level 10, but only premium users can summon the Kaul. The counter is buggy. It will pop up each time you kill the correct animal, but it always says "bandicoot" It also only counts the bandicoot kills correctly. Once you have killed the correct number of each type, the counter stops coming up if you kill another. Once you kill all 40 animals, it says "Monster Hunt Complete" Some other animals in the same class count towards your total. For example, Scavenger bandicoots count towards your bandicoot total. (I know, clear as mud)
Quests for Levels 21-29
NOTE: Names of Quest NPC at this level are frequently incorrect. [Mercenary Adjutant] Rage is frequently refered to as Imperial Palace Guard, Imperial Palace Sentinel, Verca and Melvick. Level 21 Moradon Seed - Sentinel patrick Glyptodont Hunt What you do: Kill 1 Glyptodont What you get: 10,000 xp Notes: I have killed many Glyptodonts in both Moradon and Karus, the quest never completes. Level 22 Moradon Sentinel Patrick Gloomwing Hunt What you do: Kill 30 Gloomwing What you get: 20,000 xp Notes:. Level 23 Moradon Sentinel Patrick Orc Watcher Elimination What you do: Kill 20 Orc Watcher What you get: 500,000 Noah Notes: Level 24 Folk Village [Mercenary Adjutant] Rage Battle Armor 1 What you do: Kill 20 Spoiler What you get: War Boots Notes: Level 24 Folk Village [Mercenary Quartermaster] Osmoond Folk Village Construction What you do:Gather 1 Pincers Poison What you get: 8000 Noah Notes: Repeatable Level 25 Folk Village [Mercenary Adjutant] Rage Battle Armor 2 What you do: Kill 30 Scorpions What you get: War Gauntlet Notes: Level 26 Folk Village [Mercenary Adjutant] Rage Battle Armor 3 What you do: Kill 20 Lycan What you get: War Helmet Notes: Level 27 Folk Village [Mercenary Adjutant] Rage Battle Armor 4 What you do: Kill 30 Loup-garou What you get: War Pad Notes: Level 27 Graveyard Nameless Warrior Soul's Rest What you do: Kill 30 Undying What you get: 300,000 Noah Notes: You need to kill undying in Karus or El Morad, the ones in Moradon don't count towards your total. The counter also does not come up when you ar killing them. "Monster Hunt Complete" does come up when you are done. This makes it so you can't do this quest until you reach level 35. Level 27 Graveyard Nameless Warrior Song of the Nameless Warrior What you do: Gather 1 Undying Bone What you get: 2000 Noah Notes: Level 28 Folk Village [Mercenary Adjutant] Rage Stop Morale Flagging What you do: Gather 10 Skeleton What you get: [Rogue] Sword Breaker +5 or Crossbow +5 [Mage] Unknown [Fighter] Unknown [Cleric] Unknown Notes: This is not Kill 10 Skeleton, it is to collect 10 of the items called Skeletons Level 28 Folk Village [Mercenary Adjutant] Rage Battle Armor 5 What you do: Kill 20 Dark eyes What you get: War Pauldron Notes: Level 29 Folk Village [Mercenary Quartermaster] Osmoond War Supplies Preparation 1 What you do: Gather 10 Bezoar of the Glyptodont What you get: 36,800 xp Notes: Level 29 Folk Village [Mercenary Adjutant] Rage Keilan Hunt What you do: Kill 20 Keilan What you get: [Rogue] Kukry +2 or Crossbow +2 [Mage] Unknown [Fighter] Unknown [Cleric] Unknown Notes: Repeatable until you reach a certain level

Forgotten Frontiers has a new merchant mode called "Buying Merchant." This allows you to set up offers to buy items you want. This guide will show you how to do this. Before anything, decide on what items you will buy and how much you want to spend. Add up the prices of these items and withdraw that much noah from your Inn. You will see why later on. Next, to start the merchant, use the command "/Merchant." Instead of the old merchant window popping up, you will have two choices. We will be working with the buying merchant. Click on "Buying Merchant." A window unlike the normal merchant will pop up. Click one of the boxes and another window with several fields will appear. I will go through each field. This is the image of the window: IPB Image The first field is the search field. Enter in the item name in which you want to buy. Normally, a drop-down box will appear and you can select the item. If this does not happen, or, if you don't know the exact name of the item, you may search part of the item's name. From the "Item Select" field, choose the item you wish to buy. If you are buying armor, a weapon, or an accessory, use the Upgrade field to choose which level of upgrade you want. If you aren't buying such an item, skip this field. The Quantity field is how many of a stackable item you are purchasing. Do not enter anything if you are not buying a stackable item. Next to the Quantity field is the Price field (Wish Noah Amount to Purchase). Input your buying price for the one item or for each stackable item. WARNING! Be careful when inputting the price. Commas aren't automatically inserted, making it difficult to read your buying price if it has a lot of zeroes. Make sure 20 million is "20 000 000" and not "200 000 000." If this happens, you'll make someone a happy camper and it won't be you! Also, commas and spaces do not work when putting in a price. The next window has three sections: If the item is Basic, i.e. Potion of Soul, select it and hit "Register" at the bottom. If the item has an an added property, go to the Property tab and choose which property you want on it. For example, you may be searching for a Durandal +8 with Flame elemental damage. Select it and hit "Register." If you want the item Rebirthed, click the Rebirth (Reverse) tab and select the item. Then click "Register" Notice: Earlier, I told you to calculate the total price of all items. The buying merchant will not allow you to offer more noah than you have. This means that if you want to buy two items worth 1 million noah but only have 1 million on you, you may only buy 1 million worth. After you have put in one item, you may click another box and put in another item. If you find that one of your items is incorrect, right-click it to remove it from the box. When your buying list is complete, click OK and a confirmation screen will appear. Then click OK again. Your merchant stand will be blue instead of the normal red.

Credit to camaz0tz. Distribution of SKILL POINTS lvl = Your character level Heal = Heal(ElMorad). Heal(Karus) Curse = Holy Spirit(ElMorad), Talisman(Karus) Buff = Aura(ElMorad), Ecstacy(Karus) Unused = unused skill points after specific lvl Heal/Curse Full healer, VERY GOOD for lvling and VERY GOOD for PvP(has debuff at lvl 41). Stays in the back and heals. Debuffs when needed. When there is no Rezzer around can use his 60% res gained at lvl 50. Makes nice hp pots... Heal/Buff VERY GOOD for lvling. At lvl 40 has +480buff and 480 heal. Because buffs are more important than heal must add skill points in buff till +960 hp buff. After lvl 44 put all skill points in Heal. At lvl 60 will have Heal 60(full heal) and Buff 42(960hp buff). Makes nice hp pots... Buff/Heal BEST FOR LVLING...ALWAYS NEEDED...HARD TO FIND....THERE IS NO LVLING PARTY WITHOUT BUFFER. lvl27 heal is VERY important that's why he will get 960hp buff at lvl 44. You can put all your skill points to Buff at lvl 42 but You will have 240heal till lvl 44....(make sure You reach 480 heal lol). lvl36 heal is a MUST that's why he gets 200AC buff at lvl53 (instead of 51). At lvl 54 has +1200hp buff, 200AC buff and 960 heal. PERFECT! Crappy when someone dies ..lol. Buff/Curse Hard to lvl, good with heal Priest. Nice in PvP (has best buffs) and can debuff at lvl 44. Gains 60%res at lvl 48...useful when there is no Rezzer around. At lvl 60 has BEST buffs and 70% res. In PVP: VERY GOOD...usually players don't "trust" healers in pvp and they use POTS! His debuff skill at lvl44 is VERY useful. Curse/Heal 1 (PvP) Best for PvP. Needed in every clan because of resurrections. Its very important to have 36lvl heal as fast as possible because in PvP You can heal your friends effectively (and xping safer). Have nice Resurrections. Main task: Curse and Debuff Curse/Heal 2(Rezzer) lvl27 heal is a must. Can party with higher lvl people because of 70% res at lvl 44. His heal is crappy till lvl 48. At lvl 48 same as Curse/Heal 1 (PvP) priest. Curse/Buff Its a priest for HARDCORE players. At the begining he is a buffer ONLY. No heal makes him hard to lvl (who wants priest that does not heal???) He is usefull when u have full heal priest in party. I only see this kind of priest when someone redistribute his skill points at lvl 60. At lvl 60 he has all curses and +960 hp buff. Great agains bosses...players dont trust healers....of course because of LAG.... Gains ressurections quickly(first - lvl 47) and who dont needs res when hunting bosses (lol) ?? Distribution of STAT POINTS STAT Points for priest should be distributed according to ARMOR REQUIREMENTS (that is STR/INT; for Chitin Armor Pauldron STR/INT raises +2 every upgrade). When the max will be obtained it depends what kind of priest You have chosen: Main Heal; Buff/Heal Uses a lot of mana, put as much as You can to INT (but remember about possible armor upgrades) Main Curse; Buff/Curse Must have big defense and attack because of his job (debuff). Add STR/INT according to requirements for best weapon for Priest (Priest Impact). Notice that You will be able to use very nice SHIELD too. TIPS Healer - You should know how much max HP has every party member and use proper healing. - Don't just click on party members names and heal. LOOK what is going around You. It doesn't matter if u heal guy that have 20% HP left but he is safe … heal other party members who are facing danger… - If your opponent is tough LOOK who will be hit first and start casting earlier. - REAL heal time = casting time+LAG - When fighting bosses use continuous healing and mana pots - In PvP use two times bigger healing than it is your party member damage taken. Buffer - synchronize buffs - its good tactics because You know when they will drop - heal even if You have crappy +240heal… - don't be late with rebuffing(tell your party members that the buffs will drop) - people usually dies because of buffs' drops not bad healing - in PvP always try to have full mana Curser - debuff as much as u can (PvP,bosses) - don't be afraid to attack… priest can kill to - never leaves without buffs (in PvP) - You cant do mistakes when there is no Rezzer around.. lol - Ask for swift….without it You are useless (in PvP) - Try to have good resists against Glacier, Lighting and Flame (PvP) - When xping dont use curses, just heal Things I dont like in priest - dont have swift (and 150% speed potions seems not to work) - makes crappy damage - low max HP, dies fast - some skills should become more powerfull with lvl (like slow, malice) - not good in soloing Battle Priest Minimun lvl 62 - judgment. Go Debuff/Heal. Dont be noob and dont go buff/malice/heal. Use scrolls. 68 INT so You can use Fabic Pants +6(25arrow)..rest in str. As pauldron use talia switch it with goblin 1st lvl. Optimum armors: Priest Cap 25dagger Talia & Fabric Coat - Goblin Fabric Pants 25arrow Priest Gloves 20spear/25ax Priest Shoes 20spear/25ax the key is to have 25dagger cap if You dont have it go with Priest Helmet(25 dagger), its INT(102) Items: Mirage sword 2xRing Of Courage 2xWarrior earing Iron Belt/GlassBelt Iron Necklace its good to have graham+chitin shield. its good to put into hp in higher lvls. Best support priest - Fullhealer/Debuffer Min lvl 62 so You can have parasite Go Heal(60)/Debuff(45). Use scrolls 102 INT so You can use Priest helmet +6(25dagger)..rest in HP. As pauldron use talia switch it with goblin 2ND lvl(Goblin Pauldron). STR: 76 INT: 102 HP: max (REMEBER YOU CAN ONLY HAVE 255 HP(health) WITH ITEMS...so if You have more with items it DOESNT count, but +hp items count!). Like +hp has Ruby Ring, +HP(health) has Agate Ring/Iron Necklace. Optimum armors: Priest Helmet 25dagger (grade 2 armor) Talia & Goblin Pauldron (grade 2) Fabric Pants 25arrow or +7 HP Fabric Pants (grade 1) Priest Guantlet 20spear/25ax (grade 2) Priest Boots 20spear/25ax (grade 2) Optimum Items: Chitin Shield - must have Lycoan Hammer(one with only resistances)or Lobo Hammer 2xRing Of Life 2xCleric earing Glass Belt Amulate of Goddess(or other with lighting/ice resistances) Good Items: Ruby Ring Ice belt/ Lighting belt The point is to get the highest HP with +hp items(NOT +HP-health items). So You want to have high base HP and a lot of +hp from items. This will give You overall of 4k hp at lvl 64-65. like 700-800ac. The resistance will make damage VERY LOW. lower than best armors+8 and You will have more hp. its very important to have 3k mana so You can go with Full heal(2k mana) and 960 Full heal(1k mana) just after. Healing looks like: heal+pot.

Credit to TwistedIntentions and nillie. Ok, so my dillema is that I have 2 possible good builds and I want some opinions on which would be best. My first build would be 232 Strength and 82 Hp with a Raptor+8, Fp+8 IN,2xWE,2xROC,and maybe a +10 str belt or something. My other option would be 224 Strength and 90 Hp with Raptor+7, Chitin+7, IN, IB, 2xWE, and 2xROC The first build would give me alot of AP and the IN would help make up for the defense loss, while the second build would give me alot of defense but a lot less AP. If anyone has any opinions of these builds or wants to reccomend a different build feel free to leave a reply. I have around 50GBs to work with incase you're wondering my price range. If anyone wants to do some calculating, here's some good links. I can't right now because I'm at work >.<   Just remeber that 2xWE = 30 def, 2xROC = 60def, IB=50def and I have Bulwark so I get an extra 10% Def without a shield. Also Raptor+7 has 175 AP and +8 has 187 Also forgot to post prices for anyone not on C-West. IN-14gb, IB-12gb, Raptor+7-2gb,Raptor+8-15gb,ROC-5gb,WE-2gb,FP+8-35M ea, why do people feel the need to get a rappy+8 anyway... If u can afford a rappy+8 u can also afford a chitin set+8 and a rappy+3 rebirth. There is tons of em in merchant. maybe even a +4rebirth if u search long enough or have luck at anvil. I myself use a club and i dont like it. rappy+8 got great AP but im not a rappy fan, and ill take a good mirage+8 or a good axe any day. Only reason im not using avedon+7 and mirage is cuz i got a battlepriest aswell and i dont feel like getting more weapons. A good dual weild for backup also never hurts. If ur vs-ing a rogue with 50 spear defence on, ull be cursing at ur rappy. this way ull have even better defence, and close to the same AP. remark : Warrior earrings dont need those for ardream. If u see a mage pop off one those resistance pots, and instead of putting 5 points into berserking, just use the str+ scrolls from PuS. the 5 points u save up can be put into defense so u get immunity. U dont need any more resistance then that. And if u get chitin set+8, dual rocs, an iron necklace and a decent belt like skele belt or something with decent AC on it, u can do with 30 less ac. Dont like that? get AC valk. Instead of the WE-'s get ur hands on some 14/2 or 16/3 str earrings. AC is important, but so is AP. u just need to find a way to distribute, and for me this way has worked well. ALso u can switch between the skele and a plain old 14/2str belt depending on the situation. same for the necklace, u can switch between IN and lupus+1 or more depending on yer coins. Ive had my dcz war for a long time, and my gear used to be allot better, but now i do fine with chitin+8set, ii+8, skele, foverins lupus+3 and quest earrings. Personally i would prefer just a bit more AP so i dont get ks-ed as much by spike, but imho this is a good balanced setup that lets me beat most ardream players and gets me enough kills to feel happy after 30minutes of PK. ardream warriors are often said to be hard chars to play good. But imho its the char that requires the least good gear to be any good, other then assassins offcourse. Only problems is battlepriests offcourse, so keep in mind to get some club defence aswell. hope this helped. and would love to get some extra opinions offcourse.

What you should consider using, in terms of cost and performance (ap).

A common mistake is going for "rare", 1337 weapons (e.g. +6/60 shard) when a lesser weapon actually packs more punch and costs far less (e.g. +7/70 mirage dagger).

Archers: * starter: +6 horn xbow (ap 94). Costs 2 mil to build, on average * +7 horn xbow (ap 100). Costs 6 mil to build, on average * +6 iron xbow (ap 104) * +7 iron xbow (ap 110) or horn xbow +8/80 (ap 109). hx costs 180 mil to build, on average * +6 iron bow (ap 113) (elemental a must for PK) * +7 iron bow (ap 119) (elemental a must for PK) * +8 iron bow (ap 128) (elemental a must for PK)

Assasins: * starter: +7/70 sword breaker (ap 67). Costs ~2 mil to build, on average * +8/80 sword breaker (ap 76). Costs ~40 mil to build, on average * +6/60 mirage dagger (ap 81) * +7/70 mirage dagger (ap 87) * +7/70 shard (ap 92) * +8/80 mirage dagger (ap 96) * +8/80 shard (ap 101)

A +7/70 sb will last you a while, it's a solid weapon. A +8/80 sb is better than a +7/70 kukry (ap 73) and a +6/60 cleaver (ap 74), but costs less, and it glows . Sins should skip kukry and cleavers.

Priests (thanks Itamal!): Durandal +7 = 150 AP Destroyer +8 = 152 AP MS +6 = 153 AP MS +7 = 162 AP Durandal +8 = 162 AP MS +8 = 173 AP Don't forget that HB has large elemental and int bonus

Warriors: 2-H weapons * starter: +7/70 flamberge (ap 115): Costs ~2 mil to build, on average * +3/30 bardish (ap 128). Remember going 1->3 is 100% with MUS. So get a +1 bardish and upgrade it * +4/40 bardish (ap 134) * +5/50 bardish (ap 140) * +6/60 bardish (ap 146) * +7/70 bardish (ap 154) * +6/60 glave (ap 157) * +7/70 glave (ap 165) * +7/70 raptor (ap 175) * +8/80 glave (ap 177) * +8/80 raptor (ap 187)

A +7/70 glave is almost as good as a +6/60 raptor, but at a fraction of the cost. So definitely go +7/70 glave first, save up until you an afford a +7/70 raptor.

There may be some wrong in this guide. If you know that, please point that out. At the same time, if you have more guide, please leave them at reply.

Part 1, Skill bar setup. You must use every skill you have. If you are level 55 or higher, you must use all 7 skills, otherwise there will be a large gap in your combo where the opponent can heal up and even light a cigar while they wait for your spike. People naturally assume that they have to fit all 7 on their main bar, neglecting other important skills like minor heal and pots. WRONG. Im gonna throw this idea out of the window. You are going to use 2 skillbars for your combo. Now it doesnt really matter which buttons you use for which skill, aslong as you have these things: 1) HP pot, soul pot and minor heal all near each other, in the same places on each skill bar. 2) Skills overlapping. You need to separate the skill bars into 2 parts, the left hand and the right hand. It should be like playing the piano. You train your left hand to combo independently, and your right hand is free to monitor your HP and mana. Since you are using 2 bars, the pots and minor heal should be in the same slots so that you dont have to change position mid combo. As for overlapping, i say this because it is sometimes difficult to predict when your spike is ready when using 2 skill bars. Obviously if you have 7 skills, you are going to have 3 places empty on the 2nd bar, so use 3 overlapped skills here so u can monitor their cooldown. Here is my skillbar setup pre lvl70: F1: spike, thrust, pierce, cut, stab, HP, soulpot, minorheal. F4: shock, jab, spike, thrust, cut, HP, soulpot, minorheal. i only use F4 because it is easy to reach without thinking, on my keyboard. Part 2, COMBO. This is the only thing that 99% of sins care about, and i remember scavenging the MYKO forums for clues on this secret technique when i was trying to teach myself. Everyone knows the principle to comboing. There are basically 3 methods: Skill - w - r Skill - r - r Skill - s - r Each of these methods does EXACTLY the same thing and i can combo just as fast with each. You have to practice all of them so you can do them equally well, they each have their own good purposes. i originally used skill - r- r whilst holding down "w" (the same method as 411), but i had a problem in that i would accidentally hit one too many r's, or one too few, and thus mess up the sequence. You shouldnt have to think about your combo, which is why i dont like this one. This is the best combo for cancelling priests' heals, but i think it is not the best for much else. For tanking most people, use Skill - w - r. this is extremely simple, you can transfer to the running combo quickly, and you are always pressed up against the opponent if he decides to run away. The only use for the Skill - s - r combo is when you are tanking an archer. You may have to hold down "s" for slightly longer to get more distance, if the archer has a strong arrow shower. So how do some people hit so fast? There is NO secret. It is just timing and practice. The (skill-w-r) itself can be done as one motion, you dont have to wait between each hit. However, after you "R", you must wait half a second before using the next skill otherwise you will get skill failed. If you can get the rhythm of this just right, the hits will roll off fast and people will be calling you a hacker in no time. Now the tricky part, running combos. It is very hard to explain how to do this. The method is just to hold down "w" all the time, and as you get in skill range, use a skill, then as you bounce against the opponent use an "r". I usually use 2 r's in between every skill, but this is only for timing, you dont have to cancel the skill itself. You may notice then every time u touch the opponent, your skill animation cancels since you are holding "w" (a cancelling key). You have to practice this, a lot. Sometimes i really mess this up, and get people saying that im shit etc... sometimes i get it just right and the same people say it is a macro. You have to accept that it is very difficult and you will not get it right every time. Part 3, Healing. This is the most important part in my opinion. Assassins are unique in that they have UNLIMITED healing capacity, well... almost :) First of all, look at your mana bar. Subtract 1920 from your total mana and remember this number, this is your critical point, the low-fuel number :p. At any time whilst pking, DO NOT LET YOUR MANA GO BELOW THIS NUMBER. The only exception is when you are intending on /towning, and you chug all your mana in a last ditch effort to get above 50% HP. golden rule: MANA IS MORE IMPORTANT TO YOU THAN HEALTH. Why? mana IS health. if you run low on mana, you are limited to the same crappy 720 pots as everyone else, and are liable to die like a retard. If you keep your mana high, you can light feet, magic shield, cure yourself and MINOR HEAL, all vital parts of staying alive in PK. Now what is minorheal-combo? well i didnt coin the name, but someone on the forum did for me spamming minor heal only during whole fights. All this combo is, is comboing with the left hand, and spamming minor heal/soulpotting with the right hand, non-stop, very fast. Its that simple. It isn't however the best method of healing. The best, and hardest method of healing, is using 720pots and minor heal at the same time. Treat this as your default healing strategy. Now the difficulty is knowing how fast to minor heal. If you go too fast, your mana will run out and you wont be able to soulpot since you are busy chugging HP pots. If you go too slow, you will die. You have to keep a steady pace with the minor heal at the start. Use HP pots constantly whilst you are minor healing, and focus on your mana bar. As soon as your mana approaches your critical point, hit a soul pot. When i am within 500mana of my critical point, i speed up the minor heal to compensate for the fact that i am not using an HP pot. Now this does not seem so hard right? Do this at the same time as comboing at full speed using 2 skill bars. You do need long fingers :) Your focus should not be on watching the hits in your info box, it should be rigidly on your HP/MANA bars. You should be anticipating exactly when to speedup minor heal and use a soulpot. If you are coasting along and your opponent is struggling, only use HP pots. Forget about complex healing and just concentrate on finishing him with fast combos. If YOU are struggling, calm yourself down, and concentrate on getting your mana high. Remember that high mana = high HP. When you are struggling, use 2 fingers on your right hand to spam minor heal and soulpots together and the same time, as fast as you can. You need to keep doing this until you get your mana high again, and you can switch back to the usual healing method. A lot of people assume i put minorheal on right-click, and hold ctrl to use it way faster than normal. I dont. Why? - I think it is bug abuse and lame - If you minorheal that fast you will just go below your critical mana point way too fast. You can only minorheal as fast as you can use soulpots, so there is no point using this rightclick bug since you just end up waiting for your soul pot to cooldown. Using my method, i heal faster, use less soulpots, and spread the healing out so i dont have a gap that im not healing. Part 4, advanced party tactics. I am going to assume that you are pking as part of an 8-man party. You probably do not have the best items, or super-high level, so you have to be careful and stick to your job. Firstly, consider the threat from each party you fight, and adjust your defense armours accordingly. If you see 3 strong warriors all using raptors, chuck on the spear defense, as much as you have. If you see a bunch of sins, use that dagger helm (you should really use it all the time unless you have top uniques and high level). You get the idea. It doesnt matter if your attack gets lowered a lot, your role is to pick off redballers with a quick combo, and to attack the main targets, cancelling their skills. Your are not the main damage dealer, leave that to warriors and paper mages. Who are main targets? Well i used to have a little order i used with my old clan to determine this: 1) Full healer INT priest 2) Debuffer battlepriest 3) Debuffer INT priest 4) Light Mage 5) Other mages 6) Warriors 7) Anyone else Sometimes you will fight against a party whose mage is teleport-happy, and simply runs around tping his priests if they even get scratched. Call his name early and kill this guy first. So you know your targets, as you approach the party, you should be stealthed and at a wide angle to the side, to avoid any AoE spells or debuffs. Time your run so that just as you see the purple gas go over your target, you are pounding the crap out of them with your combo. If you are not getting backup from your party, and you are getting attacked, RUN. Just run in circles, it is GOOD for your party if you are taking the agro. They are going to have a hard time killing you, and you are diverting their attackers from your own party. This is why i dont list rogues as targets, killing them doesnt accomplish much, and is usually a big waste of time and debuffs. If you are losing a fight, or if you know you are running into a strong party, play defensive. Stay at the back near your priests, and be ready to cure them and minor heal them. if any assassin starts tanking them, attack him so he runs away. Your priests will be too busy curing/healing the warriors and mages to look after themselves, so you have to help them. Part 5, 1v1 tactics. Ill keep it simple: -Archers, use your skill-s-r combo, try to avoid their full arrow shower if you can. They cannot minor heal so all you have to do is beat their pot rate, it should not be too hard. If you are styxed, hit soulpot FAST whilst walking backwards. They will try to shower you right after a styx, this is when you are vulnerable. -Assassins, use your skill-w-r combo, and concentrate on keeping your HP and mana both high, you are going to be in for a long fight against a closely geared assassin. Most sins can combo to a good standard, so you must use your healing skills to put him under pressure. If your HP does not budge after his full combo, he will panic and try to combo faster, diverting his attention from his healing. It is amazing now, when i fight some sins that i used to think were strong, their combo is very fast, but they cannot heal under pressure at all, which makes them easy prey. They know who they are. If you are not making progress, be patient and keep concentrating on your healing. Your opponent on the other hand, will be neglecting his healing more and more as the fight progresses. Eventually he will make a mistake, and he will be forced to run away. Stay close to him and dont let up the pressure. If he is far stronger than you in level and items, keep him illusioned. -Warriors, probably your biggest challenge is against high level warriors. If he is using a dagger helmet + 20 dagger uniques + lvl65, and if he is sliding you, you are wasting your pots. He is never going to hit you fast enough to kill you, and you will never kill him (unless he is retarded). If you tank him for long enough, he will realise he must tank you to have a chance. Use exactly the same principles as against an assassin. Remember that it is harder for him to regain HP once he is low, so it might take a while to drop his HP, but it WILL go down eventually. It is very easy to outdamage a 720potrate, i can even outdamage it against a warrior using a shield usually. If you are screamed or legcut, do these three things very quickly: Magic shield > cure curse > light feet. This stops him from legcutting/screaming you right after you cure. Remember that if your light feet runs out, and his legcut or scream fails, you will not be able to light feet for the duration of his skill. This is why it is extra-important to keep up lightfeet against a warrior. -Battlepriest, A BP is not able to outpot your damage. As a result they have to periodically stop and 1920 heal themselves. You have to practice your skill-r-r combo so that you can cancel their heals every now and then. It just takes one cancelled heal to seriously fuck up a battlepriest. He will always be sliding you, so use your running combo and try to keep up the pressure on him. The more pressure you put on him, the more he has to stop and heal, and the less time he has to debuff you. If the BP does not have 1920 heal, and if you have adequate defense armours, he is as good as dead, you cannot lose. One reason i like to get my base HP as high as possible is for fighting battlepriests. Half the time you will be parasited, and how much time you have to cure is dependent on your base HP. I have 2426HP base, and just over 2000 parasited, so when im using club/sword defense it takes the battlepriest maybe 4-5 judgements to kill me fully debuffed. This is more than enough time to cast a cure. If you are cocky like me, wait as late as possible to cure yourself, since when you cure parasite, it adds 1500HP +20% to whatever HP you are. So when i am almost dead, i cure and HP pot at the same time, and voila... ~2500HP regained! -Mages, Most mages will slide you with a blade attack since you will be cancelling almost every spell they cast. It is not hard to outpot any blade attack by any method. The chances of dying are low, your only danger is being iced or stunned. Use your magic shield whilst you are stealthed, and try to get his HP low FAST, since when he is almost dead, he will just be trying to run away and pot, and he will not be trying to ice/stun you. Now the only trouble i ever have with mages is when they use the new skill Manes of Fire. This is a failsafe skill like ignition, but the damage is nuts. It can be tanked though, i can tank a lvl70 paper mage with +8 lycaon staff using this skill. It is like tanking a high level warrior, so if you can do that, this should be no problem, the mage should die quite fast if he is tanking you. And a lot of people ask me what Bloody Beast is like. Well, its really fucking good. It is between 450-650 damage on ANYONE irrespective of my attack or their defense. I can use 1 dagger and hit a lvl 70 warrior with 100dagger def for 450!. It has a 5second cooldown (less than half of spike). So against newbs, it is like pierce, but who cares about a newb who u kill in 2 hits anyway. Against strong assassins, warriors and INT priests, it is like spike, and sometimes harder. So overall against a strong opponent it is like having 3 spikes. As you can imagine, comboing with 8 skills (3 spikes) is extremely deadly and difficult for anyone to outheal. On mobs it does 1200-2000 damage, again, irrespective of the mob. So on dark mares it is like thrust, on some bosses it is like spike, and against WARDERS and KEEPERS it is THREE TIMES as powerful as spike. Yes i laughed my ass off when i saw the damage. Now you know why lvl70 sins ALWAYS get the warders :D That is pretty much it! Remember there is no substitute in this game for level, items or skill. You need all 3 to be a good pker. So keep levelling, keep hunting for items with your clan, and keep practicing your combo and your healing. This original article is here.
