Okay, this may seem a little nooby, but u can actually make a good amount of easy money by selling colored goods, like capes and goblin mail, or even just the dyes themselves. You will need lots of red berries, Woad leaves, onions, and coins (don’t worry, the product will more than pay for itself.) There are a lot of red berries south of Varrock near the larger mining area. Go pick a ton of those and put them in your bank. Ok, you’re set with those. The woad leaves are in the Fallidor park. Go to the farmer in the house at the east side of the park and ask him about woad leaves. He will ask you for a price, offer 20 coins, he won’t give u any for 5 or 10, and he will give you 1 for 15, but he will give you 2 for 20 for your generosity. There is an onion patch north of Rimmington, so they should be easy to get. As for capes goblin mail, you can kill any highway man for capes, and goblins will drop goblin mail sometimes. If and when you fight the highway men and goblins, remember to pick up everything (well, you don’t have to pick up the bones). You can sell the odds and ends you pick up for coins, and all those coins begin to add up. Besides, you will be glad you did when you make your dyes. To make the dyes, simply go to Draynor and take the berries, leaves, or onions, + 5gp ea to the witch in the square of buildings in the center of the town. It can be a little tedious getting the dyes, but it’s worth it. Once you have your dyes, you can go 3 ways: Capes Color all of your capes except for a few black ones, in case someone wants plain black ( don’t worry, you can color them later if no one wants them). Put all the capes in the bank, then withdraw 1 of each color, then note the rest. You should now have 7 capes of different colors, and 7 groups of noted capes. Now go to a bank somewhere, preferably one with a lot of people, and start selling colored capes 200-300 each. When displaying your capes, show the unnoted ones, then when they say which color and how many, switch them for the noted ones. Goblin mail You should keep all of your goblin mail brown (the way you found them) and color them later if asked to. This works best at the Goblin village north of Fallidor, where people will be doing the goblin diplomacy quest. You should look for people in highly populated worlds (not 1-10, those numbers are mainly traders). Tell people you are selling goblin mail, and sell for 150 each. If they come back asking you for a different color, offer to sell them the dye they need for another 100 per dye. Only offer them the three basic colors and tell them to combine to make new colors. If people ask for a specific color, offer the color for 300-350 each. The reason you can sell for so high (goblin mail is only about 50 at gen stores) is because you’re so far away from banks, and gen stores, and not many people sell them. Another bonus to working in the village, is that between sales, you can fight the goblins and pick up the odds and ends they drop for even more cash and goblin mail. It may not sound like much of a benefit, especially to higher level players, but it’s a nice break from what you normally do, and again, all those little things add up. Plain dyes ONLY MAKE THE 3 BASIC COLORS! DO NOT COMBINE THEM! I don’t think I can get any clearer than that. Trying to explain the difference in prices between the elementary and the secondary colors is too much to try hassling with. Go to a bank (preferably Varrock or Fallidor not in worlds 1-10) and sell for 150-200 each. Be sure you mention that combining colors will give different colors. Some people will be intrigued by this alone and will want to buy them for the sake of experimenting with combining the different colors. I don’t know, maybe I’m just weird, but all 3 methods have worked great for me, I got over 10k after about 20 minutes. Please let me know if I need to clear anything up, I’m happy to receive compliments, suggestions, and complaints; there is always room for improvement!

1.Go to Yanille and go to the house a little west of the Mage's Guild 2.Trade Aleck with about 20k in your inventory 3. Buy the following: 1 Butterfly net, 10 Butterfly jars, 1 noose wand, 4 bird snares, and 4 box traps; you are also going to need a wc axe and a knife a little later on ~Level 1-3~ 1. Bank everything and get out your noose wand and head up to the rock crabs on the east side of the Fremenik Village 2. Follow the path shown in the picture once you get to the rock crabs 3. Start tracking...find a burrow and keep following the footprints, you will eventually get a kebit and some Hunter xp 4. Keep doing this until level 3 Hunter ~Level 3-9~ 1. Keep your noose wand and head up to the Gnome Tree Village and you get to track more kebits (yay!) 2.Follow the west side of the Gnome Tree Village Wall North for quite a ways untill you reach this point: 3. Repeat what you did at the Winter Hunter spot until 9 Hunter ~Level 9-15~ 1.Go to the bank and get 2 bird snares (also 1 butterfly net and 7 butterfly jars if you want to save an extra trip) 2.Go back to the same area you were tracking the woodland kebbits until you see some birds flying around then lay a bird trap 3. After a bird is caught or gets away, you need to dismantle your trap and re-assemble it 4. Keep this up until 15 Hunter ~Level 15-19~ 1. Get the Butterfly net and 7 Butterfly jars if you didn't already do so 2. Go back to the area where you were catching the Copper Longtails (Birds) 3. Set up another bird trap but while you are waiting catch butterflies...If you are in the right area there should be butterflies right next to the birds 4. Do this until 19 Hunter ~Level 19-33~ 1. Get 3 bird snares out of your bank and use a ring of dueling to teleport to Castlewars (Recomended) and head south to this area 2. Go almost as southwest as possible here and you should see a batch of Tropical Wagtails(Birds) Flying around 3. Lay your traps and catch them and reset your traps 4. Do this untill 33 Hunter (Longest Assignment so far) ~Level 33-53~ 1. Go to bank and retrieve a wc axe and a knife 2. Go back to the area where you hunted the Tropical Wagtails(Birds) 3. It is on the east side of this hunter area...you are going to be making deadfall traps 4. **NOTE** You can only set 1 deadfall trap at a time 5. Cut a tree down and use a log with the deadfall trap with the knife in your inventory 6. Take a few steps away and wait until a kebbit is caught/escapes 7. Set up trap and repeat 8. Do so until 53 Hunter (Well worth the time) ~Level 53-63~ 1. Get 4 box traps and go back to the Hunter spot by Tree Gnome Village until you find little creatures called Chinchompas 2. Set up the box traps and wait until they trigger them 3. Reset and repeat 4.Do so until 63 Hunter (keep the chinchompas, they are pretty cool weapons and can be used for training) Here is where the 2 methods divide, I suggest the first one because it is definately faster and will actually make you quite a bit of money Method I ~Level 63-99~ 1.Get 5 box traps and go to the Hunter area South of Castlewars and look for some Red Chinchompa's 2. Do the same thing as you did for regualar chinchompas and keep all of them (they sell for 600-700 ea) 3. Continue untill 99 (Fastest XP)

The Combat Triangle Guide

Posted on 2008-12-05 by adminNo comments

Loading ... Loading ...
The Combat Triangle is basically a relationship between the different fighting-style classes in RuneScape. It consists of Warriors, Mages and Rangers, each using their own unique style of fighting to an advantage toward an enemy. Each class also has a disadvantage toward another enemy which makes them weaker. In a normal situation, the Combat Triangle is as follows: Rangers defeat Mages. Mages are stronger than Warriors. Warriors can defeat Rangers. A normal situation is one where each class’ main skill is about equal to one another. If there’s a huge difference in levels, the Triangle could fall apart. A difference in your primary skill’s level from about 5-10 could “tilt” the triangle. ——————————————————————————– Why Does the Triangle Work? The Combat Triangle was implemented to give each class a ‘fighting chance’ against one enemy, and a disadvantage against another. In short, this has to do with different skills, weapons and armor used by each class. Rangers Defeat Mages A Ranger is able to defeat a Mage because of the fact that their armor mainly consists of Leather, which will not conduct Magical attacks. Rangers can attack quickly from a distance, which is one of the Mage’s main specialties. Effectively, the Mage has lost it’s main advantages towards the enemy. Magical attacks are much slower and weaker than Ranged attacks, and Wizard Robes will actually lower the Mage’s Ranged Defense. Mages Defeat Warriors A Mage can defeat a Warrior in Battle due to the fact that a Warrior’s heavy plate armor will conduct Magic and the attacks will be stronger. Warriors are unable to attack from a distance like a Mage can, so while the fighter is trying to advance on the Mage, strong Magical attacks are causing big damage. Warriors Defeat Rangers Warriors are strong against Rangers because their plate armor will deflect the Ranger’s arrows and cause very little damage to the Warrior. The Archer has no way to stop the Warrior from attacking him, and Leather doesn’t protect well from strong physical attacks. ——————————————————————————– Bending the Combat Triangle It’s actually possible to “bend” the Combat Triangle so that the opposite of the above situations may occur. This requires patience and strategy, and may take several times to get it right. Mage Defeating a Ranger Normally, a Mage will be hunting for Warriors in the Wilderness, with the only worry of the occasional stray Ranger. Remember, a Mage can teleport if things are looking bad, so you’re granted an easy escape. Armor: Bring some Wizard Robes, but if you feel too vulnerable bring a good set of plate legs too. Plate Legs do not penalize your magic attacks as much as Helmets or Plate Bodies, but be sure to teleport quickly enough or you may lose them. You can take along a shield too, but remember that they penalize your magical attacks. Weapons: Bring a Staff of Fire because Fire spells are usually the most powerful, and the staff will cut down on the need to buy fire Runes. Other Equipment: Take plenty of chaos and air Runes, as well as some Runes to Teleport, cast Bind and Curse. Air Runes are easy to craft, and Chaos Runes will respawn in the Wilderness. Also, bring some decent food, and optionally a Wizards Mind Bomb. Strategy: The golden rule of killing a Ranger with a Mage is that if you can hit them, they can hit you. But, the longer the distance is between you and your enemy, the better chance of winning you have. So, keep a long distance, and mage him as fast as you can. Remember to set the spell as your default attack so you can quickly engage him. Don’t use your high level attack spells until last, when you’re sure you can finish him off. Extra Tip: It’s often less costly to simply run away or teleport than wasting tons of Runes getting a useless kill that will give you at most a couple hundred arrows. Be sure it’s worth your time. Warrior Defeating a Mage Normally, Warriors wander the Wilderness looking for Rangers. Their strength is a great advantage. Armor: Rather than using your expensive (and heavy!) set of plate armor, bring some leather armor instead. It provides excellent defense against magic, easy to craft, less costly to buy, and it also weighs less so that you can run for longer periods of time. You should also bring an Anti-Dragon Breath Shield, or a wooden one which respawns just north of Varrock. Weapons: The best bet to defeat a Mage would be to use a Mithril Scimitar or an Adamantite Long Sword (better metal is good too!), because they have fast attack speeds and a decent amount of damage. Other Equipment: The standard Warrior gear is always helpful, which includes some Strength Potions, and food such as tuna or lobsters. A so-called “defense cabbage” may also help. Strategy: Make a character whose stats are: 40 attack, as high strength as you can make it, and 40 defense. Get 40 ranged, so you can wear full green dragon armor. Make sure your ranged doesn’t effect your combat level. Now the hardest part: Get 37 prayer! This will allow you to take half damage from all magical attacks in the wilderness! Now get a rune short sword, which attacks fast and an Anti-Dragon Breath shield, and you will be the perfect anti-Mager. Extra Tip: Rush! Rush! Rush! You want to tank through this mage, and annihilate him. Take maybe half a second to gulp a strength potion, and then rush him. Ranger Defeating a Warrior My favorite combo. Archers are fun to use and can be lethal to warriors as well as mages in the right hands. Armor: Green dragon, full, no exceptions. If you use a crossbow (bad idea!) then you may want to use a shield, but I strongly recommend you use neither a crossbow nor a shield. Weapons: Take an Oak Longbow or Shortbow, as well as about 50 Steel arrows and 100 Bronze per trip. Other Equipment: Depending on how much money you have, you may want to bring a spare bow or extra arrows. You should also bring some Teleport runes. Strategy: Your stats, being a ranger, should be about 1 Attack, 40 Defense, 1 Strength, and 50-ish ranged. Now, give or take 10 levels and you are still a ranger! Now get 20 or 25 magic! This may seem like a shock to you, but if you want to beat warriors consistently, you need it! 25 Magic if you want to Teleport; 20 if you aren’t worried about that. What does 20 magic do? Bind! Bind can stop a warrior in his tracks while you range him! Now, if you want to Bind him from far away, then longbow, up close? Shortbow. Plan accordingly. To make a good PKer of any sort, you need to be good at cooking and fishing, as well as RuneCrafting. You also need a great deal of money to buy your supplies. And, if you want to beat ANYBODY in the Wilderness, your stats will have to be 99 of everything. So go get em… one PKer at a time

Runescape Bank Notes

Posted on 2008-12-05 by adminNo comments

1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (No Ratings Yet)
Loading ... Loading ...
Quite simply, Bank Notes are just little pieces of paper telling you and everyone else (including the Bankers!) how many of a certain item you have. They’re much like Certificates (a.k.a. ‘Certs’) in RuneScape Classic, but much more quick and simple to use. Obtaining a Bank Note Well, you don’t exactly ‘obtain’ a Bank Note as you would a regular item. Instead, the Bankers will exchange them for your items. When you access your bank account, you’ll see 2 buttons near the bottom-right corner: Item - selecting this button will withdraw your items as regular items. This is the default option. Note - selecting this button will change your items into Bank Notes. Useful for stacking items that are ordinarily un-stackable! To the left is a picture of 10 Rune Ore Bank Notes. Ores are not usually stackable but Bank Notes allow them to be. Each Bank Note is equivalent to 1 item, so the 10 Bank Notes show that there are 10 ores waiting to be turned back into regular items. By depositing the notes into your bank, they will become regular items again. What’s the Point? Right now you may be asking “So what’s the purpose of Bank Notes?” Instead of carting around a full backpack of Rune Ores (or any other item for that matter) to trade, you can put your items into Bank Notes and trade as many as you wish. Bank Notes of a single item only use up 1 space, so you’ll have the rest of the space to carry other items. ——————————————————————————– Certificates Instead, you may have just been wondering about Certificates and how you can get them. In RuneScape Classic, you could only trade certain items such as ores, bars and fish for Certificates. There were 3 characters in Draynor Village that exchange items for Certificates: Niles, Miles and Giles. Niles would exchanged cooked and raw Lobsters and Swordfish for Certificates. Miles exchanged Iron, Coal, Silver, Gold and Mithril Bars, while Giles exchanged ores of the same type for Certificates. You could only exchange certain numbers of items for Certificates at once. There was the option of exchanging items of 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 for Certificates, and each cert was equal to 5 items– imagine ‘certing’ 2,500 items! Certificates are only available in RuneScape Classic, as they have been replaced in RuneScape with Bank Notes for their ease of use.

PKing noobs, and how to use them

Posted on 2008-12-05 by adminNo comments

Loading ... Loading ...
pking noobs, and how to use them table of contents: 1: introduction 2: how to choose 3: advantages 4:different team styles 5. training 6. food/equipment 7. pking 1. introducion first of all a main character is essential in building a pk noob. your noob will be a pure which are very dominant. pures are players with one particualry high combat lvl. (example: 1 attack 1 defense 1 strength 60 ranged). pures are good because they will get hit hard but yet hitting very hard. you will start out on tutorial island, you will probably know the drill by now as you have a main. after you have completed this you will start the game for real. 2. how to choose in becoming a pure you have 6 options, a strength pure, attack pure, defense pure, ranger pure, or a mage pure. strength pures are good for those that have mains with a medium money supply, and high lvl fishing, cooking, and smithing. making armor for a strength pure is a main priority as you dont want to waste time smithing new so have at least 5 sets of your full armor type with weapon. for a strength pure, in training lots of food is needed so you will hit high, i prefer to train on lower lvl enemies for strength pures. strenght pures are good for mostly all lvls, yet lacking teleports so you may want to train magic to 25 for hits exp, and to be able to tele( it wont affect your combat if one of your combat skills is already 25 or above). nest attack pures, these are great for the low lvls but tend to get killed at medium-higher lvls. for an attack pure first get ur attack to 50. you shouuld have full iron with a rune weapon, a fast attacking weapon is good as you will be hitting normal, yet alot. these players should train on monks for a long time as defense and strength will be a major setback to them. these players are no match for defense pures but can wipe out low lvl strength pures, against mages, and rangers they stand no chance. Defense pures. these are great at low-medium lvls. you get to 50 defense and get your self full rune with chain, and silverlight or blueright sword as your weapon. these are a bad idea if mages come around the corner. dominate rangers, kill strength pures, defense pures dont stand a chance. rangers! great for all levels but provide an extension of money. as always steel arrows are best, and yet some defense will help too. these guys are probably my favorite and are pretty much unstoppable till really high levels. all out i would just attack any one you will see in the wildy, these are difficult training yet are awesome rewards in wildy. mages, these are very common at low lvls and pretty much terminate any one they see at the low lvls. they will kill all buy rangers, other mages are a danger also. these are very expensive and you should have a couple million under your belt if you want to make one of these and pk sucessfully with a mage. so whoever you choose you want to be is your choice. 3. advantages all of these types of “noob” pkers have different disadvantages and advantages. strength pure, advantages: don’t cost much money and are high hitters. disadvantages: have bad armor and defense, and won’t get good untill the later levels, also takes lots of food and has no type of ranged ability. attack pures, advantages: constant hitting with a high sucess rate. disadvantages: lacks armor, defense, high hitting, and has bad training with its low strenght. defense pure: advantages: simply, nobody will hit you much. disadvantages: won’t hit often and has low strength and attack to makes its attacking very poor. bad training for bad attack and strength. ranger pures, advantages: has a ranged attack which enables them to chase down enemies, have a low lift weight, hit constantly and quickly, lack defense in beggining. disadvantages: not much just a high pay load. mages, advantages: high hitting and good tracking down enemies, and very nice weight load as it is very small. disadvantages: very expensive, and have to replinish runes after a while. 4. different team styles. having a team of “noob” pkers is very important to pking. many different teams can be formed and have some good tactics and abilities. ranger-ranger, this is good for multicombat with very high accuracy and range capability. only weakness is if they are fighting in melee/ranged because they will get hit. ranger-strength, very good as two high hitting/accuracy attaking, this is a very good combo due to only one person is being attacked while the other is just firing arrows and losing no food which they can later transfer food as a small tecnique. mage-mage combo, very high hitting and dominant combo, can own the battle fields if played in correct strategy, snare, mage, snare, mage etc…. this will own all players that can’t teleport. very successfull against warriors. these are the better of the combos that are in runescape pking. 5. training for all of the warrior pures i highly suggest trainin on chickens until level 10 combat. then head over to the monestary and kill a ton of monks till u have about 50 in the skill that you are training. with archery i suggest monks till lvl 30 ranged then kill skeles from behind rocks stalagmites etc. eventually you will reach 50 ranging. for mages, just train in the wildy! sorry for little info because i just train on monks. 6. food/equipment[/SIZE] for attack pures, iron armor, accuracy ammy/power/strength ammy, rune scimmi, long, or dagger. strength pures: full steel, strength ammy/power ammy, any rune weapon,(preferably those that hit high (exp: r2h,rune baxe,)). defense pures: full rune w/chain, defense ammy/power ammy, silverlight or blueright sword, or any iron weapon. rangers, green dragon hide full or leather body (depending which way you go), oak short, 100-300 steel arrows. mages: blue robe top, iron legs/blue skirt, wizard hat, any staff, minds, chaos, or death runes, plenty of nature runes and the elemental runes, and teleport runes. food now. attack pures, should have lobbies or swordfish. strength pures, salmon or lobbies. rangers, trout-lobbies, mages swordfish. 7. pking make sure you are all prepared when you head out to the wildy. teams will be a big advantage so try and bring some friends along (any where from 20 lvs below or 20 lvls above you). try to have tactics planned out and be confident in what you are doing. go to your first pk place and my favorite is lvl 8 skele mine. then head out a little farther if there was no action, dark warrio castle is good and so is giants. make sure that when you pk something, share with your teamate, and then bank it. always be prepared for the unexpected and have your settings on “run” when chasing somebody either range or mage them, or use the bind spell, catching is very important to pking or else you would have used a lot of food and get no gain out of it except some exp. what i do after each kill i just go farther into the wildy hoping for better kills along with some low levelers that need a beating (just kidding)! always pk with your best stat such as if you are a strength pure use the slash or hack option. also for pures never train prayer. eventually pking will be second nature to you and will always be fun and nerveracking!
