This is a followup of a review I wrote on AoC entitled Age of Conan: The Review. "A Great Game with a Fatal Flaw ".Read it HERE. The first levels are a bit of departure from most MMOs since a significant portion of it can be done in solo play. Although there are significant multiplayer elements in the Tortage area this article will focus as much as possible on the Solo-play …also known as Tortage: Nightime because of several factors. First, This is a new game and has a LOT of people interested in playing. As such, these levels can become VERY crowded when this game is released as well as every time a  new server is released. Competition for resources may be frustrating to some.  Second, the play on the PvP servers can be very grueling. Although there are several minor changes between the Rogue and other classes in the Destiny Quest line, they quests are basically the same with small alterations. Age of Conan publisher Funcom will be merging a number of the online world's servers, reducing the total count of individual online realms from 49 to a mere 18.

Following Age of Conan's recent US servers merge, a new list was released yesterday by Senior Community Manager Oliver 'Tarib' Kunz detailing the upcoming server merges for the remaining worldwide servers, reducing the total sum from 49 to 18 servers, 6 of which will be for U.S. players:

The readers of Voodoo Extreme have spoken, and Age of Conan has won their Massively Multiplayer Game of the Year for 2008. And according to Funcom, Age of Conan was also runner-up for the 2008 Game of the Year Winner, which went to Fallout 3.

You know what the first thing is that pops into my mind when thinking about Age of Conan and Christmas? That's right -- I WANNA KILL ME SOME GOATS!:

Players will have to hunt and kill a certain mountain goat we will have spawned. The exact location where this specific goat can be found will be told in form of riddles which we will post here on the community portals. The location of the mountain goat will be different on each server to make it a bit more challenging.Keep an eye out on the Season Event entries on the portal at 23rd, 24th, 29th, 30th and 31st of December. These will be the dates the competition will be held.
